Sarah Palin Is The Answer!

By Robert Wiles

“I like Sarah but she’s a quitter”. Ugh…here we go again. Once again, I had to hear this dribble from a “Conservative Republican”. As a Conservative Republican myself, I will not sit down, shut up and allow this nonsense to continue. Just as the newsboys of old use to shout “Extra, extra, read all about it”, I will continue to shout with all that is within me…Sarah is NOT a quitter! This individual had the audacity to tell me that they loved Sarah, but would not vote for her. I guess love does have its limits doesn’t it? Please! Sarah’s resignation should be a non-issue among Republicans by now. She did not quit, plain and simple. If she truly were a quitter, she’d be at home right now living a life of freedom, enjoying her private life and saying “to hell with all this damnation being thrown at me and my family”. But, that’s not our Sarah. She is a fighter and a leader to boot. I will repeat over and over again, this is not just about Sarah Palin nor is it about politics. This is about the American Culture. Just for one moment forget about Sarah’s political views, her resignation and everything else. Now focus on her values, morals, character, but mostly her faith in God. Bingo!! Her belief in the values of our heritage have made her a pariah to the Left and even some on the Right. We Americans want our heritage back and Sarah is the answer, but it all comes with a heavy price for her.

I recently wrote about two politicians posting death wishes regarding Sarah on Facebook. Although both apologized and resigned, the sentiment is still there. Let me tell you something, if Sarah was a quitter, she’d be quitting right now. Why in the world would she want to put herself in harms way? She continues forward because she is fighting for this Country and she’s fighting for us. This so called “quitter” is the leader that is standing in front of you and I and taking the knocks for us. Yet, she looks back and says, “You are worth fighting for because you are America”. I want to ask some Republican Conservatives, why don’t you see what we see or do you “choose” not to see”? Do you “choose” not to see that she resonates with the people? Do you “choose” not to see her as a leader as many in our own Party do? Do you “choose” not to see that she is the one whom is most feared by the Left? Do you NOT see it? If you don’t, you may just need a “Blind Bartimaeus” type of miracle. I’ve always heard phrases such as, “we need someone who really cares about us”, “they just don’t live in our world” and “all they want is our vote”. Well, Sarah Palin is what they have been asking for; yet, they are too blind to see it…or too prideful.

America has been crying out “we need one of us", we get her, then start having second opinions about her. Sarah is all American. Her husband Todd is more in tune with the average American male than any Washington elitist out there. Americans gripe about the “elitism” in Washington; yet, we are sent a “Sarah and Todd” and we seem to question whether we want them to have a role in Washington.

What do we want America? We say that we are not being respected, counted or heard, but in rejecting Sarah, we in essence are saying that we need to keep out of this Country’s business. We doubt that the average American can be worthy enough to provide leadership within our Country. So, do we want to be part of a Country that is again led by the elite? Do we want to feel neglected once more? Do we want to be led by those who are out of tune with the average American? We have a voice who has lived like us, who speaks as we do, who loves the little things in life, but we doubt in her ability to run this Country? What that tells me is that we are not sure of ourselves. Is it that we believe that politics is the only answer in America and that politicians are the ones who can guide this Country? If that’s what we believe, then WHO ARE we..? If we believe that “one of us” is wrong for the job, then we will never be a part of this Country.

America!!! It’s all about culture! Sarah Palin is the one to lead us and I say it with confidence. We have a mosque that is being built two blocks from Ground Zero. Two blocks! The elites made their decision and again “we the people” were left out. It’s like our voice means nothing and we do not matter. The truth be told, we really don’t matter much to them (elite). We really don’t. The Elites have forgotten about us. Today they act as if they care about us because election time is coming around, but remember when they make those back room deals, they do not ask you what you think.

Sarah Palin is the way out for the people of America. We either believe in Sarah or we don’t. Sarah has never quit on us, but some in our Party have quit on her. If not for Sarah, where would we be today. I look at it as being so simple: we rally around Sarah and make the Left and the media have a major panic attack due to the mighty army of people saying “No More”, or we just do as always and vote for the same old Elites and whine about how “they don’t care” about us.

To those that say Sarah is a quitter because she resigned her Governorship , I ask, could we have waited any longer? Her resignation was a blessing not only for herself, but for the Country as a whole. In years past, I have always noticed that the Republican Party was always on the defensive and never on the offensive. Today I see Sarah Palin on the offensive, throwing the Left and Media into a frenzy. They can’t even think straight. Sarah has led the charge and has not backed down. As I am pondering all this, i’ve come to the conclusion that there are some States who wished their own Governors would have resigned. There are quite a few States near bankruptcy, so deep in debt that future generations do not have much of a future. I see victory in Sarah Palin, now its up to us. We either go with Sarah and fight for our Country or we stay with the Elites. Most importantly, we either go with Sarah and fight for the American culture or we let our culture run amok and allow our future generations to carry out those death wishes upon each other. I truly hope our side makes the right decision because if we don’t, it’s as if…WE QUIT ON SARAH.

You Want Checkmate? Put Sarah Palin In Position

By Robert Wiles

It’s been years since I’ve played chess, but when I did, I loved the game. It made me feel like a strategist; as though I was that General who had the insight and knowing the next move of the enemy. I won at the game many times and even had my share of losses, but one thing I learned: you look to the future, not at the present. After all these years, I feel I am playing the game of chess again, but this time if I and my fellow patriots make the right move, we can declare loudly….CHECKMATE! This is one game we can win. We can win the game of chess then play the game of LIFE. Yes, the game of living our dreams, achieving our goals and expressing our freedoms. Yes fellow Americans, we are in a position that is going to demand strength and courage, but in the end we can cry out CHECKMATE for all this Nation’s enemies to hear. We will no longer be mocked, silenced or controlled. We the people have chosen to arise and take our Country back!

This Nation’s enemies, within and abroad, are seeing the walls of their maze crumble. They are seeing the people they considered second class citizens rise up like never before and declare that we will no longer be accepting their crumbs. This befuddles the elitists. Why would these peasants be complaining? We throw them crumbs now and then. Well Mr. and Mrs. Elitists, We The People say: NO MORE CRUMBS. We are taking our Country back and we demand that YOU listen to us. We elected you to office to represent us. If you don’t listen to our voices, you just might find yourself in the unemployment line next election cycle. An uprising has started. It’s called the Tea Party. It’s the party of the people. People who are fed up with politics as usual. We now look at that chessboard and see the move that will end our game and give us life, that move is to position Sarah Palin in the spot where we can hear the wails and panic of the Left. Ha….Checkmate!

For the past two years Sarah has been ridiculed, mocked, hated, criticized, sued and even had her email account hacked; yet, they have not prevailed. She is a leader like no other, except our beloved Ronald Reagan. The Left will not cease attacking Sarah Palin because Sarah Palin speaks for us. I have asked on several of my blogs, why are they not attacking Mitt Romney? Mike Huckabee? John Thune? Keep an eye on the one they are attacking because that is the one that they fear the most. Did you ever see the media attack John McCain? Nope, at least not drastically. Hmmmm, I wonder why? Could it be that they knew he didn’t have a chance in hell of winning? But along comes Sarah Palin and all hell breaks loose with the media. Kinda makes you think doesn’t it. Sarah is our voice, she speaks up for us while others while others point their fingers to the wind to find out which way it is blowing. That’s not leadership folks, that’s called political convenience and we’re tired of it. Checkmate!

We are taking control of our Country. We are building an army and we are committed to showing them our forces. They will no longer disrespect us or our will. They may think we are ignorant hicks, in November 2012, they will find out who we are and the power of a frustrated electorate. Many of the elites are “embarrassed” of Sarah Palin. Well, if they are embarrassed of her, then they are embarrassed of you and me. And if they are embarrassed of us, they need to be voted out. We cannot wait until 2012, we need to start now. We need to rally around Sarah Palin and make the Left resort to wearing adult diapers! We are playing chess right now patriots. You can checkmate now or you can lose and continues to eat the crumbs being thrown at you. You know where the door is my friend, it’s the door to freedom and liberty. I choose the game of LIFE…..Checkmate!!

Pssst! Sarah Palin Is Not "One Of Them".

By Robert Wiles

In modern politics, it seems that for one to make it to the top, you have to rub shoulders with those "higher up" in the group. We call them the "Party Elites." You kinda have to be chosen by your buddies and if you didn't fit into that particular group, you were counted as an outcast. Of course, we also have those that are to be "next in line" according to this elite buddy system. It doesn't matter if their politics and record stinks, don't you dare try to cut in line! Now do you understand why this elite buddy system hate Sarah Palin? The woman speaks her mind and she (excuse the language) doesn't kiss ass!! Yeah! I'll say it. One of the reasons I support Sarah Palin is because SHE DOESN'T KISS ASS! It's humorous to listen to both political parties try to demean her. It's simple to decipher the reasoning behind it. She doesn't jump when they tell her to. Hell no!! I also love the idea that these elitist fellows are finding out that they cannot control this woman! Do they try? Yes. Are they successful? Hell no! This woman is no coward and she will not cower to their demands. She speaks from the heart and not words of deceit used to garner votes. She is a woman of her word. Hell yes!

Sarah Palin will take them all on. Recently, we saw her take on Governor Chis Christie concerning the budget crisis in New Jersey. Click here. Many have asked, was Sarah's critique justified? I say yes. It doesn't take much courage to cut spending when your State is broke. Try doing it when there's a surplus. Now that's courage! Also, since we are on the subject of elitism and the "good ole boy" system, Governor Christie has not been kind to Sarah on several occasions in the past. I guess he never heard of Reagan's "Eleventh Commandment. He has rattled on about Sarah needing some "unscripted" moments to be taken seriously and even rolled his eyes when asked about Gov. Palin on the Jimmy Fallon Show. Many of Christie's supporters were upset by Mrs. Palin's comments. Well, all I can say is, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the freakin' kitchen! Next, we have Bill O'Reilly. Yep, we saw Sarah kindly but firmly ask Bill O'Reilly to stop interrupting her. Of course that threw O'Reilly into a tizzy for weeks. You can read about it here. There are many more incidences that I could site regarding Sarah and the elites, but this will suffice for now. From the day Sarah was introduced in 2008, the elites have gone after her more then any other. Oh, many will say Sarah Palin is cocky, too overbearing and too naive, but then again, these folks have never had to deal with someone that basically tells them "talk to the hand" and does her own thing. I love that about her! It causes me to support her even more...if that's possible. Here's what a Palin nomination and ultimate win means to me: No more ass kissing, no more backroom deals and no more elite gatherings where "We The People" are mocked and ridiculed. Sarah Palin is the people's candidate. Plain and simple.

Sarah Palin is you and she is me. She is a true American and cares about what we think. Let's all do our homework. Let's study Gov. Palin's polices and not let the "lamestream media" dictate what we think about her. To Sarah Palin we have a name and are important. To the elite, we are just a vote that they need. They have disdain for her because she cares about us. In my humble opinion, if she is willing to take them all on, I am willing to believe and trust in her as my leader and my President. They have come after her with a fierce vengence and yet, she is still standing. That's my kind of leader! One who doesn't bow to anything or anybody...except God!!!!

Sarah Palin Is Winning! So, Why Are So Many Still Playing To Lose?

By Robert Wiles

As I have observed Sarah Palin's career over the past few years, I have noticed one thing in particular. She is beating them all!! As an avid hockey fan, I have learned what the term "hat trick" means. It is a term used when a player scores three goals. That same concept is being played out by Sarah Palin in our political atmosphere, but, for some odd reason, instead of her own team cheering her on, many are booing her. Let's take a look at the "hat tricks" Sarah has scored. Goal #1) She scored against the Left's agenda. They despise her, yet, she continues to fight for the heart and honor of America and the traditional values on which this Country was founded. Many on the Left believe that this Republic is not of the people, but a Nation of entitlement, a welfare state that is to be controlled by the Government. Time and time again, the Left has attempted to malign Sarah with their smear articles just to have them "refudiated" by the truth. How about that "entertainment industry??" They sure are "entertaining" aren't they? Well, now they are producing a fictionalized story about Sarah Palin that will air on HBO. What a joke!! Good Luck Julianne Moore! By the way, Ms. Moore was asked to take the "Mickey out of Sarah. You can read about it here. Sarah Palin = GOAL!!

Goal #2) The Lame Stream Media, as she has so accurately dubbed them. When I was younger, I thought I had "seen it all". I WAS WRONG!! The lies, rhetoric, mockery and insults perpetrated by the "main stream media" against Sarah Palin is atrocious! Do we ever hear of Sarah's accomplishments? Her visions? Her policy stances? No, we sure don't. We only hear the lying trash they come up with. Heh, politics of destruction I guess they call it? It won't work! Sarah is beating them at their game. She has taken to Facebook and Twitter and has kicked their sorry butts! Now we hear that Sarah is "dropping in the polls" (their own twisted polls of course) and that Charlie Sheen's favorable ratings among independents are higher than hers. Ha! If Sheen's rants are garnering higher ratings among the independents that were polled (chosen by the LSM) i'd say Sarah is "Winning"!! Yeah folks, don't listen to those polls as most of them are skewed to make Sarah look bad and Obama look good. (Can Obama look good at all at this point???) Lame Stream Media = Loser. Sarah Palin = GOAL!!

Goal #3) The Establishment. Wow! She has really thrown them into a hissy fit! It is no secret that many within the Republican Party don't like Sarah Palin. It is also no secret that they want to destroy her. Why do they want to destroy her? Simple, they can't control her. They know that she will not keep their dark little secrets and will not put up with their crap. She took on the Republican establishment in Alaska and she will do the same on a National level. Corruption and corruptors will have to go. Period! In addition, she's a woman. Ohhhh...and what man wants a "woman" telling him what to do??!! Sarah Palin has proven that a woman can be a strong leader while some men within the Party have...ahhh...failed to show it. Sarah Palin = GOAL!!

Remember this folks, the elite class was not fond of the great Ronald Reagan either. He was not accepted by the elite nor by his own Party. First, lets catch a quote from the opposition back on August 9,1979. Illinois Democratic Congressman Thomas Foley stated “And if the nominee of the Republicans is Ronald Reagan, now clearly the front-runner, that will polarize a lot of voters. People who might otherwise be counted as soft for Carter could turn out to be very forceful for him.” Did you notice that word...POLARIZE?? Sounds familiar doesn't it? Then we have the Sumpter Daily commenting on the Republican field back on May 12th, 1979, "Indeed, once Reagan enters the race – and those who claim to know about such things are sure he will – even the right wing will be shattered beyond recognition.” How about this quote from Joseph Kroft from the Sarasota Herald Tribune on September 17, 1979: “But Reagan is known to the country more as a former actor than a former governor of California. His amateur status in political life unsays the major issue against Carter – competence. So Carter has probably a better chance of beating Reagan than any other Republican likely to win the nomination. Which is why, if you had to bet now, the favorite would be Jimmy Carter.” So, we all have heard how Conservative columnist George Will mocks Sarah Palin. Here is one of his quotes “The President’s secret weapon may be the Republican nominating electorate. There is one person, high in the polls, Sarah Palin, who cannot be elected president because she cannot compete where elections are decided. In the collar counties outside Chicago, Montgomery County outside of Philadelphia– just can’t compete there.” We also remember Mr. Will stating that Sarah Palin is not "presidential" on November 21, 2010. Okay George, lets go back to October 23, 1978, what did you say about Ronald Reagan? Here is what he said as quoted in the Sarasota Herald Tribune, "Bush’s principal problem is Ronald Reagan. And it’s possible that Ronald Reagan’s support today is like a piece of Steuben crystal, impressive but fragile, and vulnerable to one knock. Many Republicans who feel deep affection and respect for Reagan also feel a vague sense of regret, or at least dampened spirits, when they conclude that they are duty bound to support him again.” So here's my question? Why the heck do we listen to these clueless pundits in the first place?? What they thought of Ronald Reagan back then, they think of Sarah today. Here's a little news flash...Reagan won two elections. The second one being a landslide! Now these same folks are saying that Palin is not a Ronald Reagan. So, the President they thought was a dunce, turns out to be one of the greatest Presidents ever. And they have the gall to criticize Mrs. Palin??

Here's the reality of it all. The Left sees it. The Right sees it. And We The People see it. Sarah Palin is qualified to be the next President of the United States of America. Sarah Palin is strong, she has defeated and continues to defeat her foes. So, i'll say this: Let's go with the "Hockey Mom". GOALLLLLLLLL...!!!!

A Leader With Experience

On November 7, 2012, regardless of who wins the elections, the United States will still be the most in-debt nation in the world.

Our national debt is over $14,274,136,369,786 and rising by $4.11 billion per day.

But what is "national debt"? From www.businesspundit.com:

"The national debt is the total amount of money owed by the US Federal Government to creditors who hold US Debt instruments (like Treasury Bills and Savings Bonds). It includes all federal debt held by states, corporations, individuals and *this is the kicker* foreign governments. Yes, you heard right. We borrow money from other countries’ governments to finance our own. Which really means that we’re borrowing from their citizens to pay for programs for our citizens."

The estimated population of the United States is 310,308,955 so each citizen's share of this debt is $45,999.76.

But what do these numbers mean? A billion is a thousand times greater than a million. A trillion is a thousand times greater than a billion!

Somehow though, when we put a dollar sign in front of numbers, they seem to shrink, especially for politicians. It's always easier when you are spending someone else's money.

Let's start by looking at a billion from other perspectives. From about.com:

  • About a billion minutes ago, the Roman Empire was in full swing. (One billion minutes is about 1,900 years.)
  • About a billion hours ago, we were living in the Stone Age. (One billion hours is about 114,000 years.)
  • About a billion months ago, dinosaurs walked the earth. (One billion months is about 82 million years.)
  • A billion inches is 15,783 miles, more than halfway around the earth (circumference).
  • The earth is about 8,000 miles wide (diameter), and the sun is about 800,000 miles wide, not quite a million.
Here's another way to think about a billion, how long would it take you to count to a billion? Start counting one number a second without stopping until you reach a billion. It will take you 31 years, 259 days, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds.

Now that's a billion. What about a trillion? Remember that's a thousand times greater than a billion.

How long would it take you to count to a trillion? Longer than recorded history, about 32,000 years.

Now let's go back to the realm of money. Here's a better way of thinking about a trillion, from James Hamilton at Econbrowser:

A trillion dollars is about the total amount collected in income taxes by the U.S. federal government in fiscal year 2006-- $1.04 trillion. That gives me a simple rule of thumb for personalizing these numbers. If I want to know what an additional trillion dollars in government borrowing or spending will mean for me, I just imagine what it would be like to pay twice as much in federal income taxes for one year.

With our national debt skyrocketing above $14 trillion, and each of us carrying a share of over $45,000 to pay for it, we need national leaders who not only talk of managing our economy, but who also have experience in doing so.

President Obama as a candidate promised he would tackle our economic problems. Barack Obama holding up a Pittsburgh Steelers ...Once in office, he did all in his power, along with the Democratic Congress, to push through his stimulus bill, bailouts for the banking and automotive industry and health-care legislation. These have added tremendously to the economic burden of our country. And who will pay for all of this? Our grandchildren. Ask yourself, are better off than you were November 2008?

Clearly President Obama is not the economic leader we need in these times. We don't need a vain promise of "Hope", but we do need real "Change."

We need a proven economic leader. Someone who has a backbone of steel, someone with a willingness to say no and mean it. We need someone who has faced hard choices before and been willing to make them, not back down, not turn away, not be silent.

We need someone as tough as a bear. . .a grizzly bear.

While Governor ofSarah Palin - Dead Grizzly Alaska, Sarah Palin reduced spending in her budget for Fiscal Year 2010 by more than one billion dollars from the previous governor's fiscal year budget. Think about that for a minute. . .reduced the budget by more than a BILLION dollars and for one state!

This was a real 9.5% reduction in spending. Her fiscal year 2010 budget was $10.7 billion compared to Governor Murkowski's fiscal year 2007 budget of nearly $11.7 billion. At the same time, she fulfilled her promise to forward fund education, allowing districts greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.

She vetoed half a billion dollars in spending (so she reduced the budget by one billion and vetoed another half billion), which was the largest veto in state history.

Governor Palin reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration, requesting only earmarks that would benefit the country as a whole.

Governor Palin opposed much of the “stimulus”, wanting only to accept 55% of the money allocated to Alaska, specifically only dollars dedicated to infrastructure
projects. Although the Alaskan legislature ultimately overturned her veto, she stood firm on her commitment to help Alaska to become more self-sufficient while not adding to the skyrocketing national debt.

Governor Palin invested $5 billion in state savings. Instead of spending a surplus of money on pork projects, as her legislature desired, she invested the money to make the Alaskan economy more financially stable.

As Governor Palin said, referring to Governor Christie of New Jersey,

"And with all due respect to Governor Christie, you know he has no choice but to cut budgets because he’s broke, his state is broke. What courage really is, is in the face of having a surplus when you have opportunity to spend spend spend other people’s money, you still choose to reign in government to let the private sector soar. That’s real courage, and by the way that’s what I did as Governor here when I engaged in hiring freezes and reduced earmarks by 86% and vetoed the largest amounts in our state’s history. Despite having a surplus that’s real leadership and that’s courage."
Governor Palin also reformed Alaska's public employee retirement system to make it solvent.

But her cuts didn't stop there. She made cuts for herself as well. Governor Palin sold the private jet purchased by the previous governor. She stated it was an unnecessary financial burden on the state, and it was impractical and unable to land on many of the state’s landing strips.

To cut costs that would be incurred by using a personal driver, the governor drove herself from Wasilla to her office in Anchorage. She also dismissed the governor’s personal chef at the Executive Mansion and chose to cook for her family herself.

Governor Palin accepted less state per diem for herself and her family than her predecessors even though she had a larger family. (From:http://www.scribd.com/doc/35447297/Governor-Palin-s-Accomplishments)

Sarah Palin knows what it is to be a mother of a large family. She knows what it is to manage money.

Sarah Palin knows what it is to be a businesswoman and how to manage a business.
She knows what it is to manage a city as a Mayor.

Sarah Palin knows what it is to manage the largest state in the United States as governor. She knows how to make the hard decisions that are best for her state and the people of that state.
Sarah Palin in Savannah, Georgia, Dec 1, 2008 ...Image via Wikipedia
She has the courage.
She has the experience.
She has the knowledge.
She has the desire.

She only needs you.

Obama’s Birth Certificate Found

-cross posted at Palin Twibe

According to the mainstream media, they now have documentation showing that President Obama was born in a manger in Bethlehem. “This is something we suspected all along,” one Journolister who declined to be identified said. Although not eligible to be president, he is now eligible to be named king of the world by the media and the millions of Muslims who have been awaiting the coming of the 12th Imam.

“This really speeds up our agenda,” Jay Carney said. “We get to skip that European socialist democracy step now and go straight to the new world order.”

Joe Biden followed with a speach that made sense. At the end he yelled “April Fools.”

Obama's Libya Speech (a Patriot's summary)

By Rogue Rose

Here's a summary of the the President’s speech, you know, for those who missed it. (I offer this as a free public service. I watch, so you don't have to)

"I want to show that I have learned to use the word "we", so I will sprinkle it through my first couple of comments while I still remember. Yeah me!
(Truth break - The military and their families are wonderful and they are to be commended for their courage, professionalism and patriotism and their sacrifices honored.)

But equally amazing are... diplomats, you know, the ones who have those great parties at the embassies. Our military is engaged all over the world so I figured "hey, why not Libya?" The UN said "great idea" so I gave the order. Congress hasn't seemed to mind. Freedom fighters in mid-east good, tyrants bad. Hope good, nightmare bad. I took his money and told him to step down, but Qaddafi had the nerve to ignore my commands. I ordered, at my direction, as CIC I put in place, I authorized, (thank goodness I got those 'we's' in early on) but Qaddafi continued to ignore my awesomeness. I refused, I authorized, (oh wait, that's we) we attacked, we blew stuff up, we stopped Qaddafi in his tracks, we have been awesome.

Clinton took a year to get this organized for Bosnia, but I got it done in a month, take that Billary! No US ground troops. NATO is taking over on Wed (are you guys sure no one knows US commands NATO?) We don't know how to get Qaddafi to quit, but nevermind, Hillary is going to London for a meeting and they'll figure it all out then.

Other countries don't care if innocent people are slaughtered, but we do because I am now in charge and I care more than anyone else. Our vital security interest is.. wait for it... refugees!! They would have toppled all surrounding nations, cause we know there aren't any refugees milling around in the middle east region. (Do you think they are buying this?) We are going to do everything we accomplished in 8 years in Iraq in a couple of weeks in Libya and without boots on the ground, even though we won't use violence to remove Qaddafi cause they have ME! History is not on Qaddafi's side (does he know history?)

I will now take us to war not just to protect American's vital interests, but to support our "values", keep peace, maintain the flow of commerce, insure regional security, or anything else that strikes my fancy.

Bow now before my awesomeness. Ta daaaa!! applause now!"

Sarah Palin Is Self Made

By Robert Wiles

Help!! I’m lost in a sea of Sarah Palin News! It seems that every time I turn on my television, radio or computer all I see, hear and read is…Sarah did this, Sarah did that. Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. Well, you’d think I’d get tired of it right? WRONG! I LOVE IT!! Here are some reasons why: 1)She’s driving the Liberals, Media and Progressives nuts! Ha!!! 2)She stands up for me and says…”Back off, shut up, we are going to listen to Robert ( We The People ) now. 3) She’s taking on both Parties and the media without batting an eye (and is winning!)

I am tired of Politically Correctness; I am tired of being called a racist and I am tired of being called a Hick. Why the name calling you ask? Well, there are many out there who think they were granted the keys to the kingdom by some “political intellectual” that ends up being a figment of their imagination. It’s a power that is beset only in their “lightning fast” mind of ignorance and self acclaimed superiority over the rest of us. I love the idea of these “political intellectuals” straining their blood shot eyes waiting for Sarah’s next tweet or her next Facebook post. I love seeing them wait in anticipation over what or who Sarah will tear into next ( I guess you can call it being “wee wee’d up. ) It kinda reminds me of the old E.F. Hutton commercial…”When E.F. Hutton talks, people listen” It’s hilarious!! Today’s version would be…”When Sarah Palin talks, EVERYBODY listens”

So, now we have a long list of intellectually deficient individuals hurling vulgar gender comments at Gov. Palin. Please! Let’s get down to the nitty gritty…Sarah is for the people; therefore, they hate her. Plain and simple. All the attack proves is that Sarah is getting under their skin and is winning the battle. She believes in herself, speaks for herself and stands strong in her beliefs. I remember during the 2010 primary races, Rep. Jack Kingston stated that Sarah should “butt out of primary races” because “she is dividing the Republican party”…all I could say was buddy, this Party divided itself a long time ago. Welcome to reality. And by the way, the 2010 elections turned out pretty well didn't they? I'm glad Mrs. Palin "butted in." I'm a guy, so I want to know, Why all the flack? Is it because Sarah is a...woman? Or is it because she is a “Conservative woman”? Hmmmm. Let’s take this even further, do they hate her because she is a “Conservative woman who made it on her own”? Here’s what I think: Liberal women hate Sarah because she has become someone they are not and never will be. Sarah has done it on her own. She is the classic example of what Liberal women want to be; a women who relies on herself to achieve her goals ( may I add that Sarah also relies on her God). Sarah doesn’t need to belong to a group to be able to succeed. Sarah has made it to the top as a Conservative woman and that is blasphemy to Liberals. Even Liberal Kristen Powers has stated ” Palin is in many ways the quintessential Alaskan woman.” There’s a popular T-shirt line that states, “Alaskan Women Kick Ass,”! Well, that pretty much sums up how Alaskans view their women. Alaska has a history of fierce frontier women and that legacy continues. It’s also not surprising that she is so unaffected by what people say about her. Sarah is what many women, especially Liberal women, want to be and they hate her because…SHE MADE IT.

As you can tell by now, I admire Sarah Palin. It does bother me when she is attacked. I can see why the Left, the Lame Stream Media, the Elites and many in our own party despise Sarah; they fear her. I try to explain to people why Sarah receives so much hatred, but some still don’t seem to understand. As I stated earlier, Sarah dominates cyberspace, television, radio, but most of all Liberal’s unhinged brainwaves. They know she is a force and she is upsetting the status quo. We the people of this Country have a chance to have our voice heard, we have a chance to help lead and not be led. We’ve always wanted someone like this, someone to give us a voice and not be pawns on a chess board. The Left have shown us who their nightmare is…hopefully our eyes will be enlightened to what they have shown us. If not, we will be the ones to live the nightmare for years to come and continue to be pawns on that chess board and be expendable for the Kings (The Elites) to survive. Sarah Palin 2012!! You Betcha!

Who Is Our Next George Washington? Could It Be...

By Robert Wiles

Several months ago, as I watched the “Restoring Honor Rally” hosted by Glenn Beck, a myriad of thoughts ran through my mind. Then, all of a sudden, I heard Glenn Beck say “I am looking for the next George Washington”. At that moment, I felt as though something leaped inside of me. This wasn’t your normal “butterflies in the stomach” syndrome, it was an explosion of joy! As I listened while they all sang “Amazing Grace”, the camera caught a glimpse of someone who stood in the background singing along. It was Sarah Palin. In that one glimpse, I saw a woman singing not only with honor in her heart, but with a strong awareness of the Presence of God. The most amazing part was that she didn’t even know anyone was watching. I was. At that moment, I felt Beck’s question had been answered. Here is our next George Washington. I don’t want to take away from the beauty and graciousness of the Rally, nor of the wonderful participants, but I do feel compelled to write about the one I believe is saddled on the horse that Washington once rode. The horse that once carried the man God used to restore honor to this Nation is now being ridden by a woman. Sarah Palin.

In case you haven’t noticed, I love to write about Sarah Palin. I enjoy expressing the hope (real hope), courage and honor I see in Gov. Palin and decided long ago not to back down. I guess you can officially call me a “Palinista”. So, let me explain why I think Sarah Palin is akin to George Washington. When Sarah (yes, I even feel free to call her by her first name) speaks of God, it is truly from the heart. In other words, she doesn’t use God when it’s politically expedient to her nor is she fearful of the negativity she will endure for merely mentioning His Name. I honestly can’t think of any current politician whom I can say the same about. Sarah Palin doesn’t believe in this “it’s in the Party’s best interest” business. She wants to know if it’s in “We the People’s” best interest. In her speech at the Restoring Honor Rally Sarah said the following: "We will always come through. We will never give up, and we shall endure because we live by that moral strength that we call grace. Because though we’ve often skirted a precipice, a providential hand has always guided us to a better future." Those are words of a true woman of faith; faith in her God and faith in her fellow citizen. Despite being maligned by so many, Sarah chooses to make God the Chapel of her Salvation and reason for living. She doesn’t have to verbalize it, we know it by her actions. Remember, actions speak louder than words.

I believe in God and have put my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I at times wonder what the human species would be like if there was no Deity. Would we be able to live and survive together? Would we be able to conceive what the true meaning of love is? Could man describe love without guidance from the One who knows it? Could we even abide by the structure of law and principles without the wisdom of God? The Restoring Honor Rally was filled with references to the Almighty, from Dr. Aveda King’s speech to Dave Roever’s concluding prayer. The truth be told, “honor” cannot be restored to this Country until the “Restorer of the Breach” is allowed to bring it back. A society that lives upon the rule of no moral authority is a society that survives on taking from others to live. This is something that Sarah Palin knows very well.

So I have to conclude the following: Sarah Palin is more valuable to us than we truly realize and the Restoring Honor Rally confirmed it. America, please remember, a vote for Sarah Palin is a vote for God, the people and for the restoration of honor. We either fall or move forward in restoring our honor. Oh, and could Sarah Palin be our next George Washington? You betcha!

Palin is the Whole Package

By Vicki Nix Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is high above rubies.” (Proverbs 31:10 KJV) I remember as a young wife studying in our young couple’s Sunday-school class about this perfect wife described in the bible, and hating every minute of it because it made me feel so inadequate. Can’t you just imagine the lively discussion that erupted among our female newlyweds? The bar is set way too high for our reality today--that’s ridiculous standards! By the way, where is the chapter that describes the “virtuous husband”? Of course, this fictional woman/wife in Proverbs 31 was intended to be a role model, an example to imitate, qualities of character to aspire to that fit in with the individual plan that God has for each of our lives. Today, looking back on those years, I can laugh and also admit that I wish I had followed more of those words of wisdom from King Solomon. This “wife of noble character,” as the NIV coins her, is a wonderful example of what we may call the whole package today. I have yet to meet such a person that fulfills all of the qualities described in Proverbs 31:10-31; although I have read about those whose achievements were great and Christian walk nearly flawless. In the American political world, Governor Sarah Palin is our best example of a virtuous woman and comes closer than anyone else has thus far in being the whole package of what the USA needs in a president today. Just why do I believe that? Because: Ready for First Family Status America, now, more than ever before, needs good Judeo-Christian core-family-values- oriented role models in their political leaders. Sarah is a loving wife and mother and maintains a warm and close relationship to her extended family as well. I’m not saying they are perfect, but the Palins, like many other American Christian families, have learned from their mistakes, and grown through tribulation to rely on wisdom from above. We are always a work in progress from the Lord’s viewpoint. With all of Sarah’s political endeavors over the years, the Palins have been living in a fish bowl for a long time and have endured intensive trials and testing. But they have come out shining as a hard-working, enjoyable, and loving family with a strong commitment to the Lord, to one another and to those they serve. The Palins have shown us how to overcome some pretty tough family challenges besides the political involvement and all it entails: a controversial teenage pregnancy has produced Tripp, a beloved first grandchild and given his mother the opportunity to be an advocate for important teen causes. Trig, the Palin’s mid-life baby with Down syndrome has become the sweet, innocent, and treasured son they all adore, and he has brought much-needed attention to other families also coping with a child born with that extra chromosome. They are a family that believes in cherishing life and living it to its fullest. In spite of what some in the media have tried to make tabloid fodder of, the truth is that the Palins are one classy bunch; somewhat in the style of that fictional Brady kind of TV sit-com legend—they are so engaging and fascinating to watch. Sarah is quite capable, and as that old Gillette commercial coined, she can “bring home the bacon and fry it up in the pan.” (Or should we say caribou instead of bacon?) Sarah and Todd are true marital partners in providing for and leading their family--Sarah is a prime example of “never, never, letting him forget that he is a man”! The extremely-masculine and accomplished Todd is also the whole package as a husband, father, family provider, entrepreneur and athletic champion. Admirably, in spite of all of their accomplishments and fame, the Palins are still very down-to-earth people. Uniquely-Experienced Government Executive Sarah Palin has a true servant’s heart and simply saw a need and decided to fill it. She has worked her way up from the grassroots by serving in various capacities—from PTO volunteer to city council, mayor, state energy commissioner, governor, 2008 candidate for vice president, and now, hopefully, 2012 candidate for POTUS. Conservative/Commonsense/Constitutional Stance on Issues Sarah Palin is pro-life. In fact, she is pro-“life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and the entire Bill of Rights/Constitution. She believes marriage should stay defined as between one woman and one man; but also believes that no American should be discriminated against and even used her veto power as Governor to prove this. She is for a small and limited federal government, state and local government rights, and fiscally responsible budgeting for government at all levels. She is for a strong military defense for our homeland as well as for our allies, especially Israel. She is for America staying a free-enterprise capitalistic system that rewards individual accomplishments that in turn motivate and energize our economy to grow. Palin is for strong border control, energy independence, and maintaining our American exceptionalism. Legend in Her Own Time Very few people are so accomplished that they are referred to as a “legend in their own time,” but Governor Sarah Palin certainly deserves this designation. She made political history by becoming the first woman Governor of Alaska, and also by being the first republican woman to receive the nomination for Vice President of the United States. Her crowning achievement while governor was the AGIA (Alaska Inducement Gasline Act). She has excelled at energy independence and development strategies in North America like no other governor in history. Some people may call her our modern-day Joan of Arc or our Esther, and I wholeheartedly agree; but I also believe Governor Sarah Palin is the whole package America needs for its Commander in Chief. As a bonus, she is attractive in appearance, personality, and character; but Proverbs 31:30-31(NIV) says it best: “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

Sarah and Goliath

By Robert Wiles

Wow! I have never seen or heard of anything like it! A mom, wife and Conservative is now the most talked about and powerful woman in America. We have the media going after her and the unions are right behind them (did I mention the leftist bloggers, Left leaning publications…oh yeah…and Ewokie’s List?). Yeah, they hate her. They despise her because instead of saying “Let them eat cake” she says, let them have moose stew…along with the rest of us. Sarah is committed to her family and her Country. She is the epitome of strength, leadership and beauty. It is for this reason that “Ewokie’s List” (Emily’s List) hate her. She defines true feminism. She doesn’t need to whine about who she is…she just takes action. Yes, Sarah did not achieve success by whining about who she should be, she did it by being who she is. So, adding the the Ewok melee, we have the environmentalists, animal right’s groups and even some within her own party who would love to see her fail. Yep, you read right…fail! Here’s where the word “people” comes into play. They want her to fail because the “people” love her. Does that sound odd? It is.

So, some folks would just love Sarah to go back to Alaska and stay quiet. Pfft…yeah right! Just as there are some that hate Sarah, there are many who love her. There are those who see the leader for who she is. There is no question about it, Sarah is standing toe to toe against the Goliath(s) that has come against her (and us). Who else is able to stand the heat when the going gets tough…Mitt Romney? Mike Huckabee? Ask yourself, have they been tested as she has? Have they survived the vicious attacks that she has? Actually, the aforementioned have been on the attack…against her.

Who else can champion our cause? Despite being attacked so viciously, she’s still standing. I’d venture to say that no “potential” presidential candidate out there has the “cajones” to withstand what she has had to endure. You want to talk power? You want to talk leadership? I’ll talk Sarah Palin. You betcha! The current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is really pushing the envelope theses days. Arizona is in violation of “human rights”?? That’s what his Administration’s State Department says. And people question Sarah’s leadership ability?? If Sarah would have suggested anything as asinine (yes asinine) as that, she would have been run out of Alaska! Of course, that doesn’t include the nuts who would love to run her out. No, no, no, Sarah is NOT my Messiah nor do I follow her blindly. She wouldn’t want me to follow her blindly. I follow her because of her great love for this Country. It is the same love that you, I and our Forefathers have deeply instilled in our hearts.

Sarah, like David, is taking on Goliath(s). Sarah is a straight shooter and tells it like it is…they had better listen up. Is that a warning? Yeah, it is. Just ask Lisa and Frank Murkowski. Sarah lives and breaths the “American Dream”. That’s something that her detractors know nothing about. May I be bold? Sarah doesn’t give a rat’s behind about “political correctness”. Hee Hee! That’s why they hate her and that’s why we love her. No more retreating! We are reloading!! Bring it on Goliath (and EWOKS)!!

This past weekend we witnessed the “Restoring Honor Rally”. As I listened to the speakers and their messages, I realized…this is what Sarah Palin has been alluding to all along. Since she was first introduced to us, she has been speaking about God, values and restoring honor to this great Nation. Sarah definitely has changed the political climate of the United States of America. No one else, except Ronald Reagan, can compare. Sarah Palin wants to restore this Country to the values on which it was founded. That is HONOR. So, who needs a “career politician”?? Not me! I want a leader. Remember, we have always said we want our voices to be heard…now they are hearing us through Sarah Palin. NO MORE BABY STEPS, it’s time for us to leap forward along with Sarah.

Here is a video you may want to watch.

Why We Need Sarah Palin To Succeed

By Robert Wiles

I am here not to dictate policy or say what has to be done in the political field of legislation, for I am not a political guru or pundit. I am not a writer, an essayist. I’m just an ordinary citizen who sees the attacks on Sarah Palin as attacks on me and America. As a member of society ,who has to express his thoughts on reason and common sense, I see Sarah Palin as being that only reason and common sense. She is the only one that I feel is of reason and common sense.

I have watched the political atmosphere for years and have been intrigued listening and evaluating, not just the candidates, but the people themselves. I have seen many candidates climb to the top and I have seen some fail. I have seen candidates just drift away to obscurity and some have their 15 minutes of fame. But I have never seen anyone, climb to the top and hold their own as Sarah Palin. Yes, I have seen some very successful political figures in my life, but as I watched them, they grew out of the ranks of their Parties and did not find that throne of success. I had never seen a politician whom was an unknown, raised to the forefront and capture a Country like Sarah Palin. I say capture because I have never seen a figure crucified and hated by so many (who hate her not just because of her policies or beliefs, but merely because of who she is) like Sarah Palin.

This is not just a political battle with Sarah Palin by the Left. This is also a cultural battle that is more deadly because of the Left’s agenda. I will say as a Republican, I am not very happy with my own Party as well. I have not seen my Party slash taxes, downsize government, cut Government Programs, yet alone Departments that are a waste of taxpayers money; therefore, I am not here to just criticize the Democrats. Yet, I fear the Left’s agenda is far more dangerous then the side I belong to. I fear the Left’s tactics in controlling our schools and changing history. I fear the left dictating history, bashing our Country, our heritage, our pioneers, our Forefathers and so on. I fear the Left’s agenda in displaying it’s support of a system called Politically Correctness. I fear their intrusiveness in how we ,as a people, should live, believe, function and learn. I fear the building of yet a bigger Government for the purpose of controlling our wealth, our freedom, our individuals liberties with the purpose of making us a more dependent society.

For the reasons listed above, I believe a Sarah Palin Republican nomination would be a nightmare for the Left and would reach a lot more then just a political spectrum. This is the battle for our future. In 2008, when Sarah Palin was introduced, there was an awakening by many on the Republican side. Up until then, we had given up and said it is over. Yes, we still lost the election, but the result was an awakening of the American people that basically said “We have been silent for decades, no more”. There was one reason for that sentiment; that reason was Sarah Palin. I loved President Ronald Reagan, but even he was a known figure throughout his life. He began in the movies and later moved on to politics. That’s what amazes me about the Sarah Palin phenomenon. She was virtually an unknown politician. Today, in less then 2 years, Sarah Palin is one of the most prominent politicians in America. Even as a private citizen, Sarah is still one of the most popular persons in America. Why is that? Here are some of the reasons: Sarah Palin is my neighbor, my school teacher, my grocer, my banker, my mechanic, my fellow church goer plus a lot more. Sarah Palin is America. The Democrats, Media and many in the Republican Party see that and they do not like what they see. Sarah has not “paid her dues” to the Republican Party and they do not like it. Well, maybe if they’d start paying their dues and actually cared about “we the people”, they’d might be up there with Sarah Palin. However, they haven’t, and Sarah Palin is who we’ve been longing for. She is one of us and is willing to give us a voice. She is opening the door for us, but also she is opening the door of the American culture. The Left hate that idea. When Sarah opened that door of culture, the Left saw it as a great opposition. Americans had been silence for so long and Sarah Palin awoke us, now (according to the Left and some on the Right) she needs to be destroyed. For Sarah Palin has awoken the PEOPLE. We have been called Nazis, Terrorists, Right Wing extremists, racists, bigots, and homophobes. We are actually hated because we dare to believe in God, in sanctity of life, family, marriage between a man and women, the Constitution, the Bill of rights, our Forefathers, a smaller Government, less taxation and individual freedoms and liberties. They hate Sarah Palin because she believes like we do. With Sarah, it is a cultural and political battle. We believe in values, morals, character, integrity, conviction and faith. To believe in the aforementioned is to believe in yourself and others. It is a belief that one must not be chained to Government. The Left seems to have a different idea. They want control of society. Sarah Palin not only gives us hope in the political world, she gives us a voice of hope in the cultural world. The left believes it MUST destroy Sarah Palin; they must destroy the symbol that she has become. They want to silence “we the people” again.

There are many who hate Sarah Palin, but, there are many who love her as well. Having been around for years , I can say with complete conviction, I have seen no other who has made such an impact across this Country as Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin has renewed the political spectrum as no other. Even though she is disliked by many in both parties, the News Media, the Elite, Hollywood and many others, she has inspired the electorate to get involved and be more concerned with what is happening in this Country. Even President Obama has not stirred this kind of reaction. He was a well known Senator who ran on the promise of “hope and change” He was known. Sarah Palin came from obscurity. Her transcending into the political arena accomplished not just a position as a running mate, but accomplished her destiny as well. The moment she was introduced, her base was born; her fans of supporters and her fans of haters all became one Nation. A Star was born and that is why I titled this blog “Why we need Sarah Palin to succeed”. We need her to succeed for one reason, that reason being, the PEOPLE.

Her success is not for her, but for “we the people”. Sarah Palin came from outside the lower 48 to be a voice for the people. The card carrying NRA member, the sports enthusiast, the mother of 5 who had no reservations to give birth to a child with Downs Syndrome, a loving wife, one who has a faith and proud to say it, a strong willed woman who has character, conviction, integrity and even captures a beauty. She actually knows what a “Whopper” is! She would tell you that it’s a big juicy hamburger from Burger King. Would the elites of today be able to answer that question? Ask them and they’ll answer that it’s “one big lie”. Sarah Palin has broken the reins of the Party’s Elitists and they can not stomach that. She has come forward to fight the corrupt among the Elite and help put Government back on the side of the people. The Elite can not stand what they see. They see a hole penetrated by Sarah that they can not relinquish. Sarah has done more for the people of this Country then any politician; she has given us hope. She speaks to us as equals, not down to us. Sarah looks at us as equals, the corner stone of this great Country. Sarah is the elites worst nightmare. The nightmare they always saw coming and now has come true.

Sarah Palin is not who they want around. Why? Simple, she has the support of “we the people”. The elite don’t want Sarah around because they don’t want the people around. They don’t want our voices to be heard. Take a good look at the Tea Party revolt, the movement was born out of Sarah Palin. When the 2008 election came upon us, so many Republicans gave up because Senator John McCain was not the choice many wanted to see. Then someone came forward, Sarah Palin and a vast wind swept over the Republican Party. All of a sudden, there was true hope. Many saw Sarah as they saw themselves, a neighbor, someone who seemed to listen. Sarah slowly took on the elite, she went up to the castle door of the palace and slowly just barged herself into their realm. As the Elite looked behind her, they saw us, the people who were marching strong and the fear began. A fear that the people had awoken, a fear that we the people want a say in our Government. To the Elite, the Democrats and even the Republicans, their day of power was being tested. Even today we still see the damnation of Sarah Palin, her family and her way of life. But we also see a damnation of the people who like Sarah Palin. We are called Racists, Bigots, Morons, Idiots, Right Wing hate mongers and the like. We have the Hollywood elite, the media and politicians mocking us. We always hear that Sarah Palin is not qualified, she is stupid, unworthy to be President, yet it was the qualified, intelligent, worthy of this Country who put us in the mess we’re in. I ask myself what did Sarah Palin have to do with this eroding economy, the mortgage crisis, the high unemployment, the private sector being Government run as also the auto industry? What did Sarah have to do with many banks across the land folding? What did Sarah have to do with the devaluation of the dollar? What did this unqualified, stupid hick from Alaska have to do with this collapse that we encountered in this Country? She had nothing to do with any of it, yet they say she is not qualified?? The qualified, intellectuals, did the Country in. So don’t tell me Sarah Palin is not qualified. Maybe someone with common sense is what we need anyways.

Being an “unknown”, Sarah Palin has become more known then most and it just might spark a bit of jealousy. To many, she hasn’t played the game yet, its not her turn. Well, we the people see it is her turn because we are tired of politics as usual. Sarah Palin has made a dent into the elite’s castle, their Kingdom. Before it has always seemed that politicians only cared about the people during election time. They wanted our vote. They would praise us because we were the average American worker who made this Country work. It always seemed after election time, it was once again, goodbye, catch you later. I see Sarah wanting our vote in order to help us, but I also hear Sarah asking us for our input, out voices, our visions. Never had I felt that before, that closeness to any other politician. It is as if Sarah Palin wants we the people to have a say in our Government, not have the Government say… our will we will give onto you.

The nightmare for the Elite has come. Why is Sarah Palin mocked, ridiculed and crucified as no other?. Why put all your attention to destroy a nobody unless they are a SOMEBODY? I saw a comment that stated “Sarah is a soldier of many”. But why are they trying their damnest to destroy a soldier? No, they are trying to destroy a leader. Why attempt the total destruction of Sarah Palin if she is a “nobody”? As I have said before, this nobody is their nightmare, she has awoken the people, she has brought the people to life and that’s one thing the elite does not want. They do not want a people who are alert. In order to rule a people, you need them to be quiet, you need them to be uninformed, to be apathetic. Sarah has changed that and both sides as well as the Media are being threatened. The castle gates have been opened and Sarah is marching us into the realm of the Elites. Its time to say, no more. The Princess is leading her Paupers to the gates. The Elite look out beyond the gates and they see the mechanic, the janitors, the waitresses, the school teachers, the small business owner, the Wal-mart shopper, the librarian, the doughnut maker, the bread maker, the flag toting faith believer, the NRA member, the beer drinker who wears a pair of blue jeans and they see their exclusive club is now being joined by the Hicks who make this Country. We the people are not wanted in this exclusive club, Sarah Palin is giving us the chance to be a part of it. We are bringing common sense to the party and the elite don’t like it. The Preamble reads “We the people” not “We the elite”. Ask yourself once more, How good of a shape are you in as an individual with all the intellects running your Country? Our dream is Sarah Palin, their nightmare is Sarah Palin.

FLASHBACK: What We Were Saying One Year Ago About Obama’s...

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

It’s unbelievable (literally) the rhetoric coming from President Obama today. This is coming from he who is manipulating the U.S. energy supply. President Obama is once again giving lip service to a “new energy proposal”; but let’s remember the last time he trotted out a “new energy proposal” – nearly a year ago to the day. The main difference is today we have $4 a gallon gas in some places in the country. This is no accident. This administration is not a passive observer to the trends that have inflated oil prices to dangerous levels. His war on domestic oil and gas exploration and production has caused us pain at the pump, endangered our already sluggish economic recovery, and threatened our national security. Through a process of what candidate Obama once called “gradual adjustment,” American consumers have seen prices at the pump rise 67 percent since he took office. Meanwhile, the vast undeveloped reserves that could help to keep prices at the pump affordable remain locked up because of President Obama’s deliberate unwillingness to drill here and drill now. We’re subsidizing offshore drilling in Brazil and purchasing energy from them, instead of drilling ourselves and keeping those dollars circulating in our own economy to generate jobs here. The President said today, “There are no quick fixes.” He’s been in office for nearly three years now, and he’s about to launch his $1 billion re-election campaign. When can we expect any “fixes” from him? How high does the price of energy have to go?

So, here’s a little flashback to what I wrote on March 31, 2010, at National Review Online’s The Corner:

Many Americans fear that President Obama’s new energy proposal is once again “all talk and no real action,” this time in an effort to shore up fading support for the Democrats’ job-killing cap-and-trade (a.k.a. cap-and-tax) proposals. Behind the rhetoric lie new drilling bans and leasing delays; soon to follow are burdensome new environmental regulations. Instead of “drill, baby, drill,” the more you look into this the more you realize it’s “stall, baby, stall.”

Today the president said he’ll “consider potential areas for development in the mid and south Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, while studying and protecting sensitive areas in the Arctic.” As the former governor of one of America’s largest energy-producing states, a state oil and gas commissioner, and chair of the nation’s Interstate Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I’ve seen plenty of such studies. What we need is action — action that results in the job growth and revenue that a robust drilling policy could provide. And let’s not forget that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia, and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba.

As an Alaskan, I’m especially disheartened by the new ban on drilling in parts of the 49th state and the cancellation of lease sales in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas. These areas contain rich oil and gas reserves whose development is key to our country’s energy security. As I told Secretary Salazar last April, “Arctic exploration and development is a slow, demanding process. Delays or major restrictions in accessing these resources for environmentally responsible development are not in the national interest or the interests of the State of Alaska.”

Since I wrote the above, we have even more evidence of the President’s anti-drilling agenda. We have the moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico as well as the de-facto moratorium in the Arctic. We have his 2012 budget that proposes to eliminate several vital oil and natural gas production tax incentives. We have his anti-drilling regulatory policies that have stymied responsible development. And the list goes on. The President says that we can’t “drill” our way out of the problem. But we can’t drive our cars on solar shingles either. We have to live in the real world where we must continue to develop the conventional resources that we actually use right now to fuel our economy as we continue to look for a renewable source of energy. If we are looking for an affordable, environmentally friendly, and abundant domestic source of energy, why not turn to our own domestic supply of natural gas? Whether we use it to power natural-gas cars or to run natural-gas power plants that charge electric cars, natural gas is an ideal “bridge fuel” to a future when more renewable sources are available, affordable, and economically viable on their own. It’s a lot more viable than subsidizing boondoggles like these inefficient electric cars that no one wants. I’m all for electric cars if you can develop one I can actually use in Alaska, where you can drive hundreds of miles without seeing many people, let alone many electrical sockets. But these electric and hybrid cars are not a quick fix because we still need an energy source to power them. That’s why I like natural gas, but we still have to drill for natural gas, and this administration doesn’t like drilling or apparently the jobs that come with responsible oil and natural gas development. They don't have a coherent energy policy. They have piecemeal ideas for subsidizing impractical pet “green” projects.

I have always been in favor of an “all-of-the-above” approach to energy independence, but "all-of-the-above" means conventional resource development too. It means a coherent, practical, and forward-looking energy policy. I wish the President would understand this. The good news is there is nothing wrong with America’s energy policy that another good old-fashion election can’t solve. 2012 is just around the corner.

Setting the Record Straight on State’s Film Production Tax...

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

Goodness, cleaning up the sloppiness of reporters could be a full time job. In response to The Daily Caller's online inquiry, I gave them a statement that the writer buried on his story’s second page (which most people won’t even notice – I didn’t even notice it) after he spent the first page completely spinning a situation to give the impression that Alaska’s film production tax credit legislation was somehow solely my idea hatched up to benefit the Palins years before I was ever involved in a documentary series on TLC/Discovery Channel. Here’s setting the record straight: As Governor, I signed into law a popular bipartisan bill that was crafted and passed by others and has resulted in numerous Alaska-based productions that are airing today. The only alternative to signing the legislature’s work product would have been for me to veto their legislation, which would have been useless. Besides all that, their legislation worked.

This bill was not some secret big government agenda. These Alaskan legislators just wanted Alaska to be able to compete with the many other states that offer similar incentives. As I noted in my statement (which was curiously buried by The Daily Caller – whose editor-in-chief was recently called on the carpet for publicly using a degrading term to describe women), I can’t speak for the film tax credit programs in other states, but the program in Alaska has been effective. The bipartisan legislation I signed into law in 2008 was borne out of elected lawmakers’ frustration with the fact that shows and films about Alaska were mostly filmed elsewhere. They wanted to incentivize production companies to film in Alaska instead of Canada, Washington state, or Maine. Their bill worked, and as the legislation’s supporters will testify, the state’s economy enjoys the benefits of having this production money circulating right here at home. It was so successful that state lawmakers now want to renew the film production tax credits for another ten years. Keep in mind that we don’t have a state income tax, state sales tax, or state property tax in Alaska. Our state government is predominately funded by oil and gas revenue. Essentially we are using revenue generated from the development of Alaska’s natural resources in order to diversify our economy and create jobs beyond just resource development. Not only does this help promote a new film industry in Alaska, it obviously also has the added benefit of encouraging our tourism industry. These shows and films about Alaska act as perfect tourist advertisements for our state. People come here to experience what they see on the shows filmed here. The dramatic increase in Alaska-based television shows and films are testament to the fact that this legislation worked, and it’s exciting to see our state showcased and appreciated. There has been more film productions here than ever before, and the economic benefit of filming here exceeds the tax credit.

And another point missed by this reporter: apparently The Daily Caller’s conspiracy theory must be that I did all of this not even to benefit myself but Mark Burnett Productions. As I tried to explain to the writer at The Daily Caller, if you believe in this bizarre scenario then why not ask the sponsors, drafters, and supporters of this legislation that would boost job creation if they crafted this bill years ago in order to benefit Sarah Palin. Any suggestion that I somehow did something wrong by signing this legislation is ridiculous. The accusation hinges on the notion that I signed the legislation into law knowing that it would personally benefit me. That’s totally absurd. It wasn’t even my bill, and obviously I had no intention of benefiting from it when I signed it into law in 2008 because I had no idea I would be involved in a documentary series years later. If you’re going to accuse me of benefiting from legislation I signed into law, why stop there? Go ahead and accuse me of “benefiting” from the legislation my administration actually did craft – like for example, our oil and gas evaluation legislation (ACES). You could say I “benefited” from it in the sense that due to ACES the state where I live (Alaska) now enjoys a $12 billion surplus. In fact, you could say that as an Alaskan, I benefited from all of the legislation I championed or signed as governor – just as every Alaskan benefited.

As I also tried to tell the reporter, it’s also a false accusation to suggest that signing this bipartisan bill somehow goes against my position on the proper role of government. I’ve said many times that government can play an appropriate role in incentivizing business, creating infrastructure, and leveling the playing field to foster competition so the market picks winners and losers, instead of bureaucrats burdening businesses and picking winners and losers. Again, I can’t speak for what other states do, but Alaska’s film production tax credit program was an effective way to incentivize a new industry that would diversify our economy. It worked. The lawmakers’ successful legislation fit Alaska’s economy, as our economy is quite unique from other states’ due to our oil and gas revenue. Perhaps it would behoove people to learn much more about the 49th state’s young economy before making broad accusations about the efficacy of business programs. People who live in ivory towers don’t understand the real world where governors and lawmakers actually have to fight to attract business and jobs to their states.

One final thought: having to set the record straight on my Facebook page yet again is further proof that the media can’t be trusted even to print a statement in a manner that people can read.

WSJ: Gov. Palin is a Stateswoman

"Sarah Palin did a fine job bolstering her foreign-policy credentials in a speech in New Delhi this month," Wall Street Journal Political Diary column Abheek Bhattacharya wrote in today's article headlined "Sarah Stateswoman," as he synopsized her speech and question answer session delivered at the India Today 2011 Conclave, March 19.

In his synopsis, Bhattacharya touched upon Gov. Palin's positions on domestic energy development and free markets, and how India faces similar problems to the United States in developing its energy sources.
"The past 20 years may have seen some of the country's entrepreneurial energies getting tapped, but a web of regulations keeps its natural resources untapped. Besides hindering expansion in a number of infrastructure sectors, these regulations -- many in the name of environmentalism -- enable cronyism, as rent-seeking bureaucrats skew the playing field to favor a few businesses. They also leave India at the mercy of foreign energy sources."

Gov. Palin on Greta: Obama Doctrine Full of Chaos, Confusion

"The Obama Doctrine is full of chaos and questions. It's dodgy, and dubious," Governor Palin said about Obama's speech on Libya in an interview with Greta Van Susteren tonight. Gov. Palin said Obama's address was "profoundly disappointing."
"If we do not capture or kill Gaddafi, there is no acceptable endgame."

Gov. Palin questioned why we would use our military under UN, NATO or Arab League leadership. "[Obama] did not articulate what our purpose was except some inconsistent humanitarian effort...why not Darfur? Why not North Korea?...He did not make the case for this intervention. U.S. interests have got to be met if were are going to intervene," Gov. Palin said. "U.S. interests cannot mean validating some post-American theory of intervention wherein we wait for the United Nations or the Arab League to tell us 'thumbs up! You can act now' and then we get in the back of the bus and we wait for NATO. We wait for the French to lead us. That's not inspirational," Gov. Palin said.

Enforcing the no-fly zone in Libya costs $600 million per day, again begging the question of why this humanitarian issue is a priority over skirmishes where more lives are being lost.

"Disappointing speech, because we did not get the answers. We want to know what is the end-game," Gov. Palin said. She reiterated her point that "Gaddafi has to go." He must be killed or captured, else he will take revenge on the U.S. and her interests, and sponsor terrorism, Gov. Palin said. If we're going to protect civilians, "getting rid of the bad guy" is necessary to that end. "In these 42 years, there's been atrocities conducted by Gaddafi," Gov. Palin said.

She quoted a senior national security adviser who stated that "we don't make decisions on intervention based on consistency or precedent," meaning that our policy is ad-hoc, a situation Gov. Palin said was appalling. She said his speech which left open the question of how we will proceed with a long string of unstable nations only made the situation worse.

Elected officials from both parties questioned all the aspects of our involvement in Libya. Gov. Palin asked, "Are we at war?" Is this a skirmish, an intervention? She repeated her point that our national interests are not being served by taking a backseat to the UN, NATO and the Arab League, "while we put our finger up in the air and decide what the political winds are around the world, not necessarily knowing and believing that the U.S.' interests must come first in this."

Gov. Palin found Obama's reference to the North Star in his speech to be dubious at best.

More Providential: Dr. Seuss Predicts Gov. Palin's Career?

On September 4, 2009 - a year and a day after Gov. Palin gave her Vice Presidential Acceptance Speech - I wrote Providential: Dr. Seuss Predicts Gov. Palin's Career?. I wrote that in Oh, The Places You'll Go, Theodor Seuss Giesel - Dr. Seuss - appears to have predicted Gov. Palin's life with 100% accuracy. I noted then that Dr. Seuss did not know Gov. Palin and wrote Places for all of humanity.

Since Gov. Palin just concluded a whirlwind tour that took her to India, Israel, and Naples, Florida last week, now is a good time to take a little stock of where Gov. Palin was versus where she is now, and where she is heading. Perhaps, everyone whose lives Gov. Palin touched might also do well to take some introspective on the changes in our own lives brought about by the changes in her own.

Oh, the Places Gov. Palin Went!

When Providential: Dr. Seuss Predicts Gov. Palin's Career? was written, Gov. Palin had resigned from office only 35 days prior. She had just crossed the Rubicon. She made a leap of faith into a brave new world. She asked us - her supporters to trust in her, and assured us it would all be good. She had not even delivered her first speech for the Washington Speakers Bureau. So much has changed since that September day over 18 months ago. Oh, the Places Gov. Palin Went!

Seeing Great Sights, Soaring to High Heights

Since the time I wrote about Dr. Suess predicting Gov. Palin's career, she went on to author two best-sellers accompanied by major book tours. She is a Fox News Contributor. She produced an eight-part documentary series for the Learning Channel - Sarah Palin's Alaska. She has spoken to audiences all over the United States and in Hong Kong, Canada, and India. She was one of few private citizens anywhere in the world to meet with a country's prime minister to discuss foreign affairs. She held this meeting during the Jewish holiday of Purim, which celebrates Esther, a figure in the Old Testament, Gov. Palin most closely resembles. She endorsed candidates with an overall success rate of over 67% and a success rate of 90% for a sub-group in 20 targeted districts. She conducted interviews not just in the comfort zone of Fox colleagues, but with enemy hosts.
“You’ll be on your way up! You’ll be seeing great sights! You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights” (Giesel, 1990, p. 12). Dr. Seuss continued, “You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed. You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead. Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best. Wherever you go, you will top all the rest” (Giesel, 1990, p. 14).

The Lurch and the Slump

Gov. Palin's life during this time was not all supersonic flights and broken glass ceilings left in her wake. She has been savaged in the media. Death threats to Gov. Palin and her family are routine. She's the butt of sexist and misogynist comments from both the left and the establishment right. She was blood-libeled. A stalker moved next door to her and spent last summer penning a hit book on her. Though he's gone, another more dangerous stalker is the subject of a restraining order. She was knifed in the back by supposedly loyal supporters over endorsements they did not agree with, interviews with talk show hosts that did not meet with their approval or jobs they felt were due them as a reward for their prior work. Several times daily, we're treated to Alinsky-esque "reports" on slipping poll numbers, or how "the GOP will use Gov. Palin then discard her with the trash as they nominate some dark horse candidate."
"I'm sorry to say so but sadly it's true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you. You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch. And your gang will fly on. You'll be left in a Lurch. You'll come down from the Lurch with an unpleasant bump. and the chance are, then that you'll be in a Slump. And when you're in a Slump, you're not in for much fun. Un-slumping yourself is not easily done" (Giesel, 1990, pp. 16-18)

The Waiting Place and Moving Mountains

In a certain sense, even as she flies high, Gov. Palin is now in the Waiting Place - that hybrid of purgatory and limbo - as she considers answering her summons to Revive, Renew, and Restore Reagan Conservatism by running for President in 2012. But, I believe her time in the Waiting Place ultimately will lead to Dr. Suess's final prediction, and his final words in the book that was his final gift to humanity:
Kid, You'll Move Mountains!
In many Gov. Palin already has moved mountains in her lifetime of accomplishments, and yes this prediction has been fulfilled in terms of those. But, her biggest mountains yet await. There are more mountains for Gov. Palin to move, that will make her prior ones seem like mere foothills - these new mountains are why she is now in the Waiting Place.

When she moves her next mountain, Gov. Palin will also build a new one. What used to be a glass ceiling will be a mountain of broken glass when the biggest sonic boom and roar ever heard causes the world to shake and tremble as she flies high overhead and shows the world what a woman can do.
