Gov. Palin on Nightly Scoreboard: Obama Wrong on Economy

Unemployment is back up to 9%, gas prices are rising, and the dollar is devalued, Governor Palin said on America's Nightly Scoreboard with David Asman in a single-segment interview. She said we live in an economic climate of uncertainty and it will not improve under a central command economy that eschews free market principles.
Gov. Palin said McDonald's was likely able to hire 50,000 employees recently thanks to the exemption the company received from ObamaCare. Gov. Palin said, she would like to see every business be exempt.

Gov. Palin delineated her position that energy independence is linked with job creation, prosperity and national security. She said the Obama administration is using social engineering and manipulating the energy supply, and it's not working. Gov. Palin had invited the administration to read studies conducted by her state and others which proved that collusion and speculation are not the operative factors in rising oil prices. "The President blames speculators and gas station owners...the solution is to add more domestic supply," she said.

When asked about Thomas Sowell's theories on government and the economy, Gov. Palin said, "I quoted him in Going Rogue, because has influenced my thinking." Sowell is the author of Conflict of Visions. Gov. Palin said government does not know how to prioritize investments and socialistic policies lead to failed economies such as what happened in Greece and Spain.

Asman queried Gov. Palin about the bump in Obama's approval rating following the successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden. "The media in Obama's back pocket will always be looking for ways to articulate support for he who sends tingles up their legs," she said. Gov. Palin added that she is happy bin Laden is dead, but "one tactical victory is not the sum total of peace through strength."

Regarding last night's straw debate, Gov. Palin said that although she missed much of it on her flight back to Alaska, she was happy to see "quite a few" 2012 Presidential hopefuls standing up for free market principles.

The Powerful Servant

-from Patrick's World USA

If you were given great powers and could use those powers to revive and restore a nation, could you do it without being corrupted by the power structure that you would need to navigate to make that happen? This question must be answered before considering America’s next step. We have tried all types of leadership and management styles and we are broke. We will need to reach out for a different style of leadership. We need to look at electing someone who can be a powerful servant.

The image of a servant is that of a lowly person who takes care of the petty needs of people with much higher status. But a real servant is a person of any status who serves other people whether it is simply by helping someone in the neighborhood get food or by devoting their life to charity. What if a servant had all of the powers of the president of the United States and was able to use those powers to help our nation and our people back to greatness?

A powerful servant could resist the forces of corruption and work in the best interest of the people and the Constitution. It would be a hard fight, but one worth fighting and one for which rewards for the results would not be seen until later when everyone could look back and see that it worked. A powerful servant would use the power to turn our country around and, yes, rock some boats in the process. But we as a nation will be better off for it. We will turn from our high spending ways. We will remove the bureaucratic burden of the federal government. And, we will liberate people from the slavery of entitlement programs.

Across the political spectrum, we have seen good people consumed by the elixir of power. The corrupting forces of power don’t manifest themselves in a handshake with the devil before taking office and lavishing yourself with the trappings that come from one’s position. They start with a little deal. They start with agreeing to give a friend’s family member a job with the highway department because the friend supports a morally upright objective one may have.

Yes, it may seem harmless that you can get a school built or create jobs because you zoned a particular area the right way with a little reward to friends that doesn’t really hurt anybody. But this multiplies exponentially and eventually corrupts into cronyism. Human nature can be good, but it is easily corruptible by forces that hide in our blind spots or by things that we’re simply not aware of. Satan doesn’t knock on your door and do a sales presentation so he can get your soul. He hides in the existential fact that human beings don’t have a crystal ball that sees into the future so we can determine what the consequences of our actions may be.

Although we can never have enough information when making decisions to be 100% sure that there will be no collateral damage from action taken, the most virtuous among us work hard at gathering the most information they can so that, with reliance on history and Divine Providence as their guide, they can execute their decisions most effectively. The least virtuous among us take the easy way out and apply complex solutions to simple problems to cover up this shortcoming. Those in the middle between virtue and lack thereof usually become politicians.

Many politicians are good people. Some of these good people get caught up in bad situations. But the reason why the world’s second oldest profession closely resembles the first is because we have collectively accepted a false notion that it always has to be that way. We have been conditioned by our society to not rock the boat. We often hear the platitude “people don’t like change.” We are operating on false assumptions.

Success requires that we think outside the box and look for solutions and strategies that we often cast aside or neglect out of ignorance or fear. We would rather take the safe way and borrow a few trillion dollars to keep our government afloat than risk an outcome that is unknown. The theory that reducing government services would cast people into poverty is a myth. We fear that myth and are frozen into inaction or gridlocked by disagreement because of it.

The stimulus program was designed to save jobs. It did,in 2009. Now that the stimulus money is gone, states are cutting everything they can. The Federal Government gave them methadone and now they’ve run out. Government payrolls decreased by 24,000 last month. Last year, state and local governments lost over 100,000 jobs. That’s hundreds of billions of dollars flushed down the toilet to delay the inevitable. That's bad government. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Since 2008, we have been taking a drug addict and trying to ease it off the drugs by giving it more drugs. That patient needed to go cold turkey then. We’d probably already be headed into recovery by now if we let the market clean things up instead of using big dollar bailout and stimulus programs that have done nothing but drain our treasury and lead us toward insolvency.

The time is now that we elect a leader who will be a powerful servant, not a servant of the powerful. Our Constitution protects individual liberties. It doesn’t promote cronyism, it promotes the general welfare. The general welfare is promoted when we are self regulated and not government regulated. The general welfare is promoted when our leaders give us a hand up instead of a hand out.

If we have social services and federal programs that are designed for the so called good but have no basis in the Constitution, it means those programs are supposed to be handled by the states and the people. Massive government cuts would end the redistribution of wealth and create a redistribution of responsibilities. It would create vacuums where the private sector, the states and the individuals could step up and take more local control over solving their problems. If we reform Social Security and Medicare, the same can happen.

Only a powerful servant can make this happen. If someone is beholden to the Washington way, it will never work. We will go bankrupt. America as we know it would be gone.

Normally, one shouldn't need a title or a high position in government to be successful or powerful in a free society and a free market. But for this one time, we will need someone to have the title of Madame President in order to fix it to the way it should be. We will need someone with the power of a president and the heart of a servant. Then we can get to being exceptional and free again.

Samaritan’s Purse: The Palins Pitch In

Anatomy of a JournOList Smear: Whoopi Spreads Corrupt MSM’s Anti-Palin Narrative to the Popular Culture

O4P San Francisco; GAME ON!

On September 24, 2010 Organize4Palin (O4P) was recognized by Gov. Sarah Palin as an effective grassroots effort. You can read more about O4P: HERE.

On November 2, 2010: O4P had a 67% success rate.

O4P helped Sarah Palin elect:

37 House Reps, 6 Senators, 7 Governors, 2 Atty Generals, & 1 Secretary of State.

Now, O4P is looking at 2011 and beyond ;)

Ever since the (now infamous) GAME ON speech in Madison; O4P has been flooded with emails from concerned citizens ready to take a stand. Ready to get America back on the right track. Ready to stand with the one leader who dares to hold Obama accountable.

Our State Coordinators are encouraging volunteers to GO ROGUE and hold local O4P meet-ups.

The image above and the website I am about to introduce you to are the manifestation of GOING ROGUE. This is what happens when creative, hard working, entrepreneurial Americans come together and do what Americans do.

It will not be Big Government that saves America. It will be dedicated O4P volunteers like Ray and Susan who help save America.

Three weeks ago some eager O4P volunteers met in San Francisco to discuss the local O4P agenda. After passing out O4P volunteer sign up sheets, making local Tea Party contacts, and distributing O4P resources these innovative volunteers just weren't quite finished yet. Bursting with that certain Bay Area creativity that thrives from top to bottom in the Castro; these volunteers went the extra mile and low and behold essex & orange 1773 was born!

essex & orange 1773 is named after the intersection where our nations Liberty Tree stood.

This website is not just about T-Shirts (and free posters like the two above!). This website is a fusion. A fusion of creative influence through imagination, craftsmanship and know-how.

For those of you who don't know the story of the San Francisco Poster Wars be sure to read about Ray and his heroic mission. Ray's story takes every left wing progressive lie and tosses it right back in their high and mighty face like a tinsled hand grenade with sugar on top.

With the help of Susan's artwork; Ray & Susan began a unique partnership of activism and art.

Check out Ray's blog: HERE

Check out Susan's blog: HERE

All across this nation while Obama supporters and the LSM laugh, mock, and degrade common sense Americans; O4P volunteers are quietly busy. Working. We know the value of a dollar, the honesty of a hard days work, and the feeling that comes from standing for something rather than falling for anything.

The time for choosing is near. Now is the time to take a stand. Now is the time to Organize4Palin and bring a restoration of every level of government; and a restoration of private life as well.

Right now, today TEXT: 4PALIN to 74679 & Register HERE for O4P updates.

We all know that we are living in extraordinary times and 2012 will be an extraordinary election. America is worth fighting for.

Those who prefer to run America down rather than build her up have no business leading this nation.

It won't be windmills, capitulation, or hijacked gutsy moves that save America.

America will be saved by those who understand that our free enterprise system and industry play key roles in driving our national economy.

Keynesian Inflationism and those who have an allegiance to their resume have bankrupted our country.

If you believe in the promise and purpose of America please join our cause.

Palins Help Alabama Tornado Victims Clear Debris and Rebuild

Todd and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today helped Birmingham, Alabama homeowners clear debris and brush, as part of Samaritan's Purse humanitarian mission to the tornado-stricken city, Samaritan's Purse reported.
“I came here to work hard,” Todd said. “There’s no point in being here if you’re not going to work hard.”

After getting a safety briefing and talking with volunteers, the Palins joined a crew assisting homeowner J.L. Price. The couple helped haul off brush and debris, and with the rest of the crew, prayed with Mr. Price.

“It feels great to be working out here,” Sarah said. “I hope more people sign up with Samaritan's Purse so they can be blessed like I am today.”

“It’s hard to imagine anyone surviving this,” Todd said. “What a terrifying time it must have been for them. This just really
gets you.”
This is the third time, Gov. Palin has performed humanitarian missions with Samaritan's Purse. Last December, she spent a weekend in cholera-stricken Haiti, an effort to which Gov. Palin also donated $1,750. In 2009, as Alaska's Governor, Palin conducted a humanitarian airlift to distressed villages in remote western Alaska, personally handing out supplies and care packages to every resident.

SarahPAC Releases Troop Tribute Transcript

Governor Palin's Speech to Military Families - May 2, 2011 retrieved from PalinTV.

Retrieved from and Courtesy of SarahPAC:
The following is an excerpt of Governor Palin’s remarks at Colorado Christian University (CCU) on May 2, 2011, for the Tribute to the Troops benefit in support of Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides support to those who suffered the loss of a military loved one. We will post the video of the speech as soon as it’s available.

Last night, thank God, all of us heard the news that the evil leader of Islamic extremists who was responsible for the murders of thousands of innocent Americans had finally met justice at the hands of America’s finest. It is my honor to get to be with those finest today. We get to pay tribute to those finest – our United States military.

I know that we will probably all remember as individuals where we were that September day when the horrific thoughts, ambitions, and plans of this terrorist cut short the thoughts, ambitions, and plans of beloved innocent Americans who were heartlessly murdered on September 11, 2001.

God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who carried out the successful mission to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice and all those who had laid the groundwork over the years to make that victory possible. The historic action that was announced last night was the result of the diligence, hard work, and character of countless American warriors who know that those who spread evil, those with murderous intentions must be contained. Those who would kill in the name of religion must be stopped.

In Denver last May, I was on a panel that was moderated by Colorado Christian University President Armstrong. I was there with radio hosts Hugh Hewitt and Dennis Prager, and we were asked a question on that panel: what we believed was the greatest threat facing America. Dennis Prager answered first, and he said that he believed the single greatest threat to our country’s future is that we seem to be failing to pass on what it means to be an American to the next generation. And I agreed with his concerns, but I had a caveat when I agreed in my answer to what he said. I offered: If we’re truly so delinquent in teaching the next generation what it means to be free and how important it is to defend freedom, then how do we explain the thousands of young men and women, my own son among them, who, though they have never tasted anything but freedom, choose as patriots to join our United States military and fight for freedom in distant lands far from the comforts of home?

Who are these young American warriors? What is the character represented in those who are sitting up here on this stage? They are volunteer troops. They enlist because they instinctively know that America is worth fighting for and that America’s enemies must be defeated.

The fighting warriors in our armed forces are willing to lay their lives on the line to preserve and protect something greater than self – to defend the American ideal of liberty. They represent the very best among us. They embody our highest ideals. And they represent American Exceptionalism.

And yesterday their courage and their determination brought us justice – especially justice for the victims of 9/11. God bless those families who suffered so much on 9/11.

Yesterday was a testament to the military’s dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war, and we thank our President. We thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory.

Let me give you another example of victory, among thousands of examples that we can think of in our military – an example of the heroism over the years. One of Colorado’s newest residents is Staff Sgt. Sal Giunta, and he’s a new resident in Fort Collins. He’s the first living service member from the Afghanistan or Iraq conflicts to receive the Medal of Honor. He was a rifle team leader in Afghanistan; and on October 25, 2007, his unit was ambushed shortly after nightfall. Sgt. Giunta described it: "There were more bullets in the air than stars in the sky. A wall of bullets at everyone at the same time with one crack and then a million cracks… They were close – as close as I’ve ever seen.” But the sergeant kept his cool and relied on his training. He fought off the insurgents and rescued several members of his unit, including an injured soldier who was being carried off by the Taliban. Giunta’s squad leader later praised him saying, "We were outnumbered. You stopped the fight. You stopped them from taking a soldier.”

When he was notified that he was being recommended for the Medal of Honor, Sgt. Giunta was humble. He said, “If I’m a hero, every man that stands around with me, every woman who is in the military, everyone who goes into the unknown is a hero.”

SarahPAC Hires New Foreign Policy Adviser

SarahWaveReaganSaluteSarahPAC has replaced Neo-Conservatives Randy Scheunemann and Michael Goldfarb of Orion Strategies with Peter Schweitzer, Conservatives4Palin and ABC News today reported. Scheunemann had been with Governor Palin since the McCain-Palin campaign of 2008. Both Schuenemann and Goldfarb said they left SarahPAC on good terms, and SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford corroborated their account.

Scheunemann and Goldfarb advocated an internationalist policy, eager to use force. Schweitzer, a Hoover Fellow is a Reagan Conservative and believes force should only be used when there is a clear and present danger to our interests.

In her speech delivered at Colorado Christian University last night, Gov. Palin outlined her five-point military doctrine:
  1. First, we should only commit our forces when clear and vital American interests are at stake. Period.
  2. Second, if we have to fight, we fight to win. To do that, we use overwhelming force. We only send our troops into war with the objective to defeat the enemy as quickly as possible. We do not stretch out our military with open-ended and ill-defined missions. Nation building is a nice idea in theory, but it is not the main purpose of our armed forces. We use our military to win wars.
  3. And third, we must have clearly defined goals and objectives before sending troops into harm’s way. If you can’t explain the mission to the American people clearly and concisely, then our sons and daughters should not be sent into battle. Period.
  4. Fourth, American soldiers must never be put under foreign command. We will fight side by side with our allies, but American soldiers must remain under the care and the command of American officers.
  5. Fifth, sending in our armed forces should be the last resort. We don’t go looking for dragons to slay. However, we will encourage the forces of freedom around the world who are sincerely fighting for the empowerment of the individual. When it makes sense, when it’s appropriate, we will provide them with material support to help them win their own freedom.

Gov. Palin Honors Troops at Denver Rally, Fund-Raiser

Raises $40,000 for survivors of fallen soldiers.

Governor Palin last night honored our troops at a Colorado Christian University rally and fund-raiser, in which $40,000 was raised for survivors of fallen soldiers. In her speech, Gov. Palin thanked Presidents Obama and Bush for the death of Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, the USS Cole Bombing, the Khobar Towers bombing and numerous other atrocities.

"Yesterday was a testament to the military's dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war, and we thank our President and we thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory," she said. "Those who would kill in the name of religion must be sought...We are still at war with the brutal enemy that hates America and our allies and all that we stand for."

An overflow crowd of 1200 attended the fundraiser for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), according to ABC News.

The Devil Fears Palin & Other Trig Truther Misogyny

By @TwoLegsGood

John Nolte did an excellent deconstruction of the illogic used by Andrew Sullivan and other Palin haters today: "MSM USES PALIN'S OWN CHILDREN AS POLITICAL WEAPONS AGAINST HER"

As I was reading, I was thinking how much I appreciated his work in trying to sift down and extract their basic attack arguments. But there was a sense Nolte had touched on and missed one essential question about Palin Derangement Syndrome in regards to the Trig Truthers:

Why?

Why are Sullivan and the Trig Truthers so offended over the fact the Governor gave birth to Trig?

It's easy. It's the biggest moneymaking Leftwing issue (and spiritual abomination) ever:

Abortion.

Sarah Palin and her son Trig are a walking testimony for Christ and the Pro Life movement simply BECAUSE she gave birth to him, simply because she didn't have an abortion. Just the sight of Sarah Palin with her baby boy is a reminder of that.

So if the Left can somehow make it out Sarah Palin is lying about giving birth to Trig, they are free of the power of her Christianity and her Pro Life Testimony.

Nolte came close to this brand of hatred of Palin by bringing the Devil into the discussion: "... the greatest trick the Devil ever played was in convincing us he didn’t exist..." but every Christian Palinista understands implicitly this is an anti-Christian hate for Sarah Palin.

That's why it's so irrational. "Palin-Fury" has to do with Christ.

I once was pastored about the origins of misogyny in the world:

"The Devil specifically hated Mary because of Genesis 3:15, but in general the Devil hates women because of their ability to create life in the womb; the Miracle of life is something he cannot replicate."

This is why Sullivan and the antiChrist Left are "womb-obsessed" with Sarah Palin: it's a spiritual fight. This is also why they see Trig as a "political prop" -- their politicized views of abortion are the subtext for their hate --

Trig represents the glory and plainsong goodness of ProLife Christianity.

I know this will sound sappy, but according to Jesus, Sullivan needs our prayers ("Pray for your enemies and bless those who wickedly curse you") and then Sullivan's hate needs to be disentangled and deconstructed for the craftiness of his ridiculous arguments -- as Nolte has started to do.

But by understanding Trig Trutherism is actually a contorted debate about abortion, Sullivan can be effectively defanged.

The questions now need to be asked of the Trig Truthers who try to morph the politically dead abortion debate into some strange antiChristian attack on Sarah Palin. Would they have preferred Sarah Palin aborted Trig or perhaps just murder him now? How would they suggest Sarah Palin hold her little toddler when she happens to be in the public eye? Which hip should she straddle Trig on, so as not to be accused of using him for some political gain?

I said it before but I'll say it again. My step-niece has Down's. The sweet tenderheartedness she brings into the family is an amazing gift of God. She is proof of God's love, she is evidence of Heaven.

Trig is a testimony of God's love -- and the Left can put their hands over their ears and scream and pitch all they want but the facts remain...

Sarah Palin isn't using Trig as a political prop, God is using Trig as a spiritual reminder.

Yes, We Ask A Lot

By Ambusher

The Navy Seals killing Bin Laden made me think of Jay, whom I will only call by his first name out of respect for his family. He is the only Navy Seal I have ever known. We went to school and played on our high school football team together, he was a defensive tackle and a good one.

After high school, we both went to Vietnam. I with the 11th Infantry Army, while Jay went into the Navy and became a Navy Seal. I would not see Jay again until a few years after the war when we happened to meet in a bar close to our old high school. Jay had too much to drink so I gave him a ride home. When we got inside I was shocked. There was no furniture and clothes were scattered all over the place, it was a mess. We sat on the floor and drank another beer while not saying a word to each other. Jay got up and walked into his bedroom and came out carrying a NVA helmet and a Viet Cong flag. He said, "I want you to have these", I told him I could not take them. Those were his memories. I had no right to them. He smiled and said "fine", then he walked over and threw them into the garbage. He turned to me and said, "You have to go now, I don`t ever want to see you again". I was taken aback by this but I wished him well and left.

About 3 months later Jay put a 45 pistol in his mouth and blew his brains out. At his funeral I had a chance to talk to his Mom. She showed me all the awards and medals he had received while in Vietnam. With a tear running down her cheek as she looked at Jay's medals, she asked me, "Why do they ask so much?" I knew she was asking about the military, but I had no answer. Everyone who has served in the military have their ghosts. For some the ghosts are too overwhelming.

Trig's Crew Companies Continue to Expand

Nearly two weeks have gone by since the deranged pro-abortion Wonkette Twitter attack on three-year-old Trig Palin's birthday, and Trig's Crew Companies continues to expand. The attack followed the posting of a birthday picture by Trig's mother, Governor Sarah Palin. It was some of the worst of humanity on display. Then, Papa John's Pizza, Huggies, and the Vanguard Group pulled their advertising off the site. When we last covered the story, 44 companies had joined Trig's Crew. As of this writing 52 companies no constitute the Trig's Crew Companies Hall of Heroes.
